A baby’s first birthday is a wonderful occasion that deserves to be marked appropriately. Organizing a first birthday party will give you the chance to unleash your creativity and to have lots of fun.

While your baby is still young, the birthday party will be a chance for family members, relatives and close friends to spend time together and to celebrate. The baby will feel all the love and warmth that special people hold.

Planning a first birthday party is relatively uncomplicated. You can decide on the decorations, food and party activities. If you want to, you can even have a special party theme.

Party Decorations

Each party needs to have appropriate decorations. A very special occasion, like the first birthday of a baby, deserves lots of creativity.

Most party stores offer supplies that are suitable for any kind of party. Decide on the theme and draft a list of everything that you will need. You can either purchase the decorations or the materials needed to create such at home.

Remember that the event is dedicated to your baby. You can incorporate pictures and videos from the baby’s first year to make the decorations. Come up with posters or table centerpieces that utilize these very special photographs.

Invitations

Once you have decided on the theme and other aspects of the party, you can work on the invitations.

These can be sent electronically or by mail. The traditional method is usually more appropriate, as it will leave people with something to put in their archives.

You can use a cute baby picture to decorate the invitation. Another option is to cut it in the shape of a baby item – a pacifier, a teddy bear or a crib.

Make sure that the invitation contains all the important information – date, location, RSVP information and party theme, in case you decide to have such. It is also important to give guests hints about the best types of gifts. It will make the task easier and will provide the baby with useful items.

Give Children a Chance to Have Fun

Relatives and friends are likely to come to the party together with their children. This signifies that a first birthday party will bring together children of all ages. Is it possible to keep all of these children entertained?

Certain games and activities can be used to make all the guests enjoy the party. Some activities will be suitable for adults and children and will help them have fun together.

Modeling clay is the perfect party supply. It appeals to both toddlers and older children. You can even launch a competition for the most intriguing modeling clay figure. The activity will keep children occupied for hours.

Painting is another engaging activity. Ask the children to draw a picture for the happy baby having a birthday. Adults can be encouraged to write notes, which would be archived and given to the child in time.

Have the guests share memories related to your baby. This game will get both adults and children involved. Ask them to say something funny or touching. Such activities will help you break the ice and create unique party atmosphere.

Some time should be dedicated to gift opening, as well. The unwrapping of presents can be exceptionally fun, as long as you know what to say and how to address each person.

A first birthday is a wonderful occasion for a friendly get-together. You can take preparations down to a minimum, in case you are unwilling or unable to spend time and resources on organizing the event. Having fun with loved ones is the most important part. Enjoy it!

As a parent, it’s very important that you can teach your children how to be more disciplined. A well-disciplined child will end up achieving more in his life. But are there really exact ways on how to do that?

The truth is there is no clear-cut definition on how to be a parent. Nevertheless, there are tried-and-tested methods you can follow when it comes to disciplining:

1. Talk things over. Never underestimate the ability of a child to understand. You really don’t have to reach a point where you end up shouting and cursing each other. You can just both sit down and talk things through. However, you should be aware of the age of your kid. It’s important that the language that you’re going to use will be something your kid his or her age can completely comprehend.

2. Know when to discipline. It’s a huge no-no to scrutinize or reprimand a child in the presence of other people, especially non-family members. Plenty of the kids do end up getting traumatized and embarrassed by the experience. They will only harbor ill feelings toward you and may even grow up rebellious.

3. Be firm when you’re disciplining. Parents are very compassionate toward their children, and many cannot discipline well because their great love and pity for their kids take over. But you have to be firm. If you they have committed something wrong, you should be firm in condemning what they did. Otherwise, they would think that they are just normal things to do.

4. Help them understand the process. Parents should not reprimand their children without letting them know the reason why. This is how you can make them understand that what they did was completely wrong. The consequence of their actions is getting disciplined. You should be able to do this before you completely forget the reason for what you did.

5. Focus on the act, not on the child. Don’t cross the thin line between the act and the child. Keep in mind that you’re not really angry at your kid but the actions he did. Else, you may end up developing some form of resentment toward your own child.

Develop Some Strength inside You

Being a parent is no joke, and you get to fully comprehend this truth when you’re already on the process of straightening the ways of your kids. Sometimes the responsibility can be too high it can cause you too much stress.

This is where subliminal messages can be extremely helpful. The subliminal messages have been utilized by thousands of people all over the world who want to have a total change of mind-set. The subliminal messages can provide you positive thoughts so you can carry on the parental tasks with more optimism.

You can add subliminal messages into your mind when you’re meditating or visualizing. While you’re doing any of them, you can say the following lines:

I can be a good parent.

I know the value of good discipline.

I love my kids that I discipline them with care.

When it comes to baby showers, the food is often neglected or taken for granted. Planners tend to focus more on the theme, décor, and other planning ideas and food is the last thing to be thought of. Though each component of a baby shower is important, the food has always been on the short end. Preparation should be done for everything whether it’s the theme, guest invites, program, decorations, and especially the food.

If done well, the food could end up being the most memorable thing at the baby shower. You can amuse the guests with a wide variety of flavor and texture from different dishes. To help you in this whole journey, here are some baby shower food ideas and tips.

The first thing you should do is to make a decision on whether or not you want the shower to be catered by a food company or prepared by the family. If you hire a catering company, they will prepare the food and make sure it is delivered at your venue on time. The only thing you have to worry about is for the caterer to show up and prepare the food.

There’s always special about preparing home-cooked meals. In many ways, the party gets more intimate because you know that the food is cooked from the heart. In the baby shower, you can ask other family members to come up with favorite dishes that the mother-to-be prefers. This is also a chance to serve signature family dishes that will bring back loads of memories. Since they are done by the family, you can be sure of the quality and the flavors. A disadvantage that people rarely see in catering services is that the food is usually of low-quality because they focus more on quantity and big servings. It’s always up to if you want to cook the food yourself or hire someone else. In both choices, you have to consider the costs and the food itself.

After you decide what to do, it’s time for you to make a list all the food you are going to serve in the baby shower. Think about all the dishes starting from the appetizers, then the entrees, and finally the desserts. When it comes to baby shower food ideas you need to focus more on finger foods. Big plated servings aren’t really common when it comes to showers because you need food that can be easily eaten by guests.

Among the food you can serve are mini burgers, thin crust pizza slices, bruschetta, cookies, cupcakes, and cakes. To help you narrow down the choices, you can always go back to the theme. If the theme was Mexican for example, you can serve mini burritos, tacos, chorizo, and many more. For almost any theme, you can serve a tray filled with an assortment of fruits and vegetables and dip. A platter of broccoli, celery, tomatoes, asparagus, strawberry, grape, melon, and mango is perfect for sharing.

As you can see, you can have fun with all your baby shower food ideas. Food is important in any type of party and that includes a baby shower. Planning for the program, decorations, theme, or any other component of the party shouldn’t be excuses for you not to come up with witty food ideas.

My wife and I were expecting our very first child, and it was something that came on us quite quickly and we were quite unprepared at first. We had been together for several years, but we had only recently discussed having children and getting married, so within a six-month span, we had gotten married and were expecting a child. It all was a pretty big whirlwind to me when my wife came to me and told me that she had taken a pregnancy test and it was positive, so as you can imagine I was literally blown away. We were actually trying to conceive, but we weren’t going out of our way to prevent it from happening either. Now we were pretty much left scrambling trying to learn everything we could about a newborn, and while you think nine months is a long time, there is so much to learn and buy, that you need pretty much all that time to prepare yourself.

One thing that we found most helpful, was to start taking classes and meeting other parents, so that we could learn from their experiences, and to seek out their advice. We also had a number of friends and family members who had recently had children, and we spent a lot of time speaking with all of them to learn some helpful tips and advice that we could use. We of course also had an extremely large library of books that we had bought, and both of us spent quite a significant amount of time online reading about everything. I can tell you with all assurity, that preparing ourselves like this was one of the best things that we ever did. Even after our daughter was born, there were still so many things for us to learn, that the I can’t imagine what it would have been like if we didn’t educate ourselves on many other issues before hand.

This is why I strongly encourage anyone who is expecting a baby, to educate themselves as much as possible about what they should expect, especially within the first year. There is a ton of literature out there that can really offer you a ton of sound advice that I guarantee you will pay off in the end. I also highly suggest that you to take advantage of many of the classes being offered to new parents and don’t forget that there is never a such thing as a stupid question.

As an anticipating father or mother, what you should prepare is a baby shower registry. That is right, a baby shower registry because the birth of your baby is a joyful and thrilling event that being a parent, you must be thankful for. Baby shower events are among the important stages that the parent undergoes so as to share their joy to their close friends, relatives, and family members from either sides of the family. Pointed out below are several tips on baby shower registry so that you can conquer the hassles of it.

As quickly as possible go shopping for the baby items that you might want, generate a schedule and mark it on your calendar or your memory joggers. Four to five months before the baby’s due date, you can slowly and gradually list down the things on your baby shower registry. You could have a look at baby magazines, baby stores, as well as on-line shops for what items you need on your baby shower registry. Achieving this won’t only take off the burden of getting to cram for the things that you might want for the baby shower, but additionally most of the time, you obtain discounts for baby products and items that you’ll want for the baby shower.

The things that you can put in your baby shower registry can include but are not limited to diapers, baby strollers, furniture for babies, toys and games, clothing, etc. There are hundreds to thousands of baby items which you could add to your baby shower registry, simply make sure that they are within your budget range.

When you have made your baby shower registry, you must locate a store, either on the web or offline, where you could rely on which they provide quality products and items. Do some background check on the stores that you are thinking about. You can even employ the internet to find out what reviews and feedback people have on the baby store that you have picked.

This is the moment which you have been building up for; this is the reason why you created the baby shower registry in the first place, so you can use a reference on what things you need to get for your baby shower necessities and the baby’s arrival. Utilize your registry and when there is something not on your list but you think is vital, then go ahead and purchase it. Just make sure that you are within your budget range or watch out for that credit limit if you are making use of a credit card. You might max it out without ever noticing it.

It is always significant to plan in advance so you won’t get trapped stressing out on things specifically prior to the birth of the baby. Creating your baby shower registry before hand ensures that things are well organized for the arrival of your baby. Happy list making!

There are different causes of bed wetting, it is not just something your child would do to get into your nerves. These are night time accidents that could happen even with the best potty trained children. Some would say that children would outgrow bed wetting, but there are some parents who are anxious to help their children get over with them. Bed wetting could interfere with your child’s social activities like attending slumber parties and camps. Aside from interfering with social activities, it could also affect the child’s confidence and esteem.

Within the age of five years old, about 20% of children still wet their beds. For parents and children, it is important to know that this is a common problem and not just a problem with your child. Doctors and medical professionals would often stress on the fact that bed wetting is not intentional and your child is not to be blamed with the situation. Some parents or family members approach bed wetting as a big problem or issue which adds to the pressure and stress on the child.

As mentioned, bed wetting could have an impact on your child’s confidence and self-esteem. There are debates about this relation, however, there are also medical researches showing that bed wetting management was able to help in improving the child’s self-esteem. Children and adolescents acknowledge that bed wetting could be a stressful event in the family. Bed wetting closely follows divorce and parents fighting as a family problem according to children and adolescents.

Some children who suffer from bed wetting or nocturnal enuresis can get punished by parents, teased by siblings and other relatives, and tend to keep it as a secret from friends for the fear of getting embarrassed or ashamed. There are also studies showing that children tend to develop behavioural problems that are often associated with the stress and the low-self –esteem of children with nocturnal enuresis. Children could feel guilty or withdrawn especially if they sensed that they have no control over the problem.

Behaviour problems could even manifest in the schools. There are studies showing that children suffering from bed wetting tend to be more aggressive and project a poor self-image. These children may also have problems paying attention in class, get lower grades and overall performance in school.

A child who wets the bed may consider this night time incident as a big time problem. As a parent and family members, it is important to downplay this problem. Stress caused by bed wetting may even worsen the incident. Constant assuring is important. Children may feel that they are the only ones who experience bed wetting in their age. Assure your kid that what he is experiencing is a common problem. It is just that children may be embarrassed to talk about it. You could even share a story of another family member who also had trouble with bed wetting but was able to get over it. Assure your child that you will be with him all the way.

There are studies showing that children who have problems with bed wetting often would say that the best thing about staying dry will be participating in sleepovers and camps. This may make your child feel isolated. And feeling isolated is never good for anyone.

Difficult topic to talk about, and help if you ever need it.Your baby has just passed away either in the womb or shortly after birth. The worst thing you will have to face if your baby was born above 24 weeks gestation is organising a funeral. you may want your parents to do it for you because you can’t think straight or your partner if you have one, but making lasting memories which are good ones will help you in the long term to cope with your grief.

If someone does it for you don’t let them take over completely without you having your say. Funerals are stressful organising as often arguments occur between family members and this is something you just don’t need now so you have to be brave strong in fundamental arrangements such as choosing a burial funeral or cremation. choosing clothing for a baby’s final sleep, would you want flowers, hymns, songs and or even such likes of a head stone. So first things first after the post mortem if there has to be one done you need to register the death before any funeral director can have the permission to start on the arrangements .you can ring the hospitals chaplin, funeral director or your local church pasator/ministyer to make all the neccessary arrangements for you.

after your baby has passed away you need to register the death within 5 days.

Still Born Babies

Registration
If a baby is still born (born dead after the 24th week of pregnancy) you will be given a Medical certificate of stillborn signed by the midwife or doctor, which you should give to the registrar. If no doctor or midwife was present and no doctor or midwife has examined the body, you must sign form 35 which the registrar will give you.

The registrar will give you a certificate for burial or cremation and a certificate of stillbirth.

You can ask to have first name entered for a stillbirth baby. The registrar will write the baby’s name on these certificates if the name is recorded in the register. It is also possible to get certified copies of the entry of stillbirth.

The information of a stillbirth may be given to any registrar in UK. the procedure is similar to that for deaths.

Your final goodbye to your baby will be a sad and difficult time for you. Your baby’s service can also be a beautiful way to honour your baby. Their short little lost life has affected you in so many ways. This can be a time to share the time you have spent with your baby with special people around you. It is important to draw on the support networks around you if possible.

For babies under 24 weeks gestation.

A Funeral

Although, by law, you must have your baby buried or cremated, you are under no obligation to hold a funeral service. This means that you can say goodbye in almost any way you choose.

Many parents find that the funeral marks the time when they say goodbye to their baby – the moment when they truly understand that their baby has died. It can be a very distressing and painful experience, but it can also be a time to acknowledge your baby’s importance and to share and express your grief and your love with others. Many parents talk of the funeral as a valued memory and something they are glad they went through.

A funeral can be religious or non-religious, traditional or a ceremony of your own design. Think about how you would like to say goodbye to your baby. Do not let outside pressures force you into doing something that does not feel right for you and your baby.

If you choose to arrange the burial or cremation, and the funeral yourself, we hope you will be able to find a way of saying goodbye which will be of some comfort, and will be a sustaining memory in the weeks, months and years ahead.

12,Walk outdors with her.

13,Put her on the cradle and rock gently.

14,If no response ask somebody to carry the baby.

2,Pull her ear gently she may become worse or push your hands away:—Earache.

3,Feel her temperature with the back of your hands:–Fever due to any infection.

4,Examine the skin from head to foot:–Eruptive disease, nappy rash, measles, vesicles, allergy ect.

5,See the nose for any discharge:–Coryza.

6,Move the head gently to feel any neck stiffness:–Meningitis, head injury ect.

7,Keep your ear near her chest to hear any rattling sound:–Increased mucus in wind pipes.
(pneumonia,bronchiolitis,asthamatic bronchitis ect)
8,Examine the anal orifice:–Anal erosion,rectal polyp,crawling of worms.

9,Examine the genitalia:–Any discharge or erosion.

10,In male baby see the testicles which may be swollen or tender:–Orchitis, torsion of testes.

Somebody in your family circle is bound to be as excited as about the baby so find that family member and ask him or her to go shopping for baby gifts with you. On the other hand, if you happen to live in an area which is accessible to malls and shops, you can shop for personalized baby girl gifts online.

Yes, going to the mall or the shops can be a lot more enjoyable than clicking icons on your computer but shopping online does have its own perks. Most online shops sell their products are lower prices compared to malls and shops. Why is this so? Online merchants do not pay as much overhead cost as malls and shops so they can sell their products at lower price.

However, the catch here is that when you shop online, the online merchants charge you extra amount for the postage cost of the items that you bought online. The postage cost may vary depending on your location. If you happen to live in a far place where access is difficult, be prepared to pay higher postage fees. Moreover, the size and the weight of your online purchases also matter when it comes to the computation of the postage cost.
